This cord is really cheap and it worked fine for a few days. However, the cord that connects the adapter and the electric socket broke in a few days. I had my previous adapter so I switched with it. Other than that, it's been working great.

My dog chewed through the power cord that came with my laptop, so I had to buy another one. This one was compatible with the make and model for my computer so I bought it and have been very pleased with it. It worked great from the get go. I did have a slight issue a week or so ago where the cord was plugged in but my computer was registering the battery power rather than the power cord power, but after wiggling it around a little, it corrected itself. Since then no problems at all! Also, I received it really quickly from the shipper, and you can't beat the price at $10 with shipping! Much better than the local venues who wanted $100 for a power cord. I highly recommend this one!

This product replaced the 2nd adapter that went out after the "90 day repair warranty" from HP. If you have issues with your HP brand adapter or it has gone out on you time and again, I suggest buying one of these. It works. It charges my computer, but it somehow messes up the tv in the living room. It messes up the picture as if it was receiving interference. When unplugged, the tv works fine. The old cord did not do that. Our house is really old though, so this won't necessarily happen to everyone. I would still recommend this product if you need it.

I had just purchase a new HP laptop. I needed an additional power supply for travel. I ordered this item because the model numbers for my computer matched that of the power supply. I made the mistake of not attaching the power supply to my computer prior to departing on my trip. I got to my hotel room and found that the connector from the power supply to my computer was the wrong size. It would not work. There are two sizes of connectors and I had the wrong one. I had to order a replacement from a local Best Buy store (the clerk knew immediately what my problem was and got the correct item for me). That was the good news! The bad news was that the cost of the Bust Buy unit was nearly double what I had paid from Amazon, but I had no choice. I was angry that the product description did not make note of the two sizes of connectors.

I paid $24.39 for this product on Amazon. I was amazed how quickly it arrived especially since I ordered it at Christmas time standard shipping. I have been using this power adapter on my new HP DV6T Laptop for a little over a week while I have been traveling. It is very compact in comparison to the huge brick of a power adapter I received from HP with my laptop. While it does take longer to charge the laptop with this battery, I think that it is ideal for traveling as it is small (4" x 1 3/4") and light (in my opinion). The only real complaint I have about it is that it gets really hot when charging it on this laptop - almost too hot to touch. I only hope that it lasts over the long term. I figure for $25 vs. the high cost of a HP-branded battery that I can't go wrong with this one. If you want this for home use only, I would recommend that you buy a different one that may not get so hot when charging and that will charge faster. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product as a travel AC power adapter.

After receiving this item, I charged the battery for 24 hr, drained it completely (~3%) and recharged it once again. Anytime afterwards, my laptop would bluescreen, reporting a hardware problem in WinDbg, within 2 min of removal from a power source.

I was able to return the product with a full refund; thus, my advice is to watch the return policy...
